PromoTalks Podcast
PPB Presents: "The Exponential Effect Of Volunteerism"
In this new episode, the PPAI PromoTalks podcast welcomes distinguished guests to discuss, PPB Presents: "The Exponential Effect Of Volunteerism.” Director of publications and editor at PPAI, Tina Berres Filipski, moderates this conversation with PPAI’s 2021 Distinguished Service Award recipient Mark Abels, MAS, CEO and owner of Selco; and the 2020 Distinguished Service Award recipients Kippie Helzel, MAS and Rick Brenner, MAS +, president of RFBrenner, LLC.
In this encouraging 39-minute conversation, Mark, Kippie and Rick discuss how industry volunteerism helped them hone their leadership skills and expand their networks to be better leaders in their own businesses and, in turn, to share that expertise by mentoring others.
Volunteer Community Model
The PPAI Volunteer Engagement model, revamped in 2012, provides a variety of opportunities for members to volunteer. With five models of volunteerism—committees, advisory groups, task forces, work groups and the volunteer pool—there are many scalable opportunities for members to participate and provide valuable input on association work, projects and events. The work, time commitments, deliverables and areas of focus vary greatly from group to group, but each one contributes important insights on PPAI strategic initiatives.
The PPAI volunteer community is where industry professionals engage to create and deliver educational content, resources and lead initiatives to help individuals grow professionally and advance the industry. This chart explains how the community connects to educate, advocate and create strong networks.
