Admore, a division of Midlothian, Texas-based supplier Ennis, Inc. (UPIC: Ennis), was recognized at The Gallery of Superb Printing, The Detroit Club of Printing House Craftsmen Banquet on April 9. Admore won five gold awards, the Best of Show and The Best of Large Offset Press awards for their achievements in printing, diecutting and other special effects.
The self-promotion project, “Out of this World Folders,” Admore’s 2015 Halloween folder, brought home not only a gold but the Best of Show award. A gold and the Best of Large Offset Press was awarded to a custom die-cut folder and insert combo, “ULM Construction Management.” The final three golds were awarded for technical printing ability in both offset and digital four-color process folders.
The Gallery of Superb Printing awards program is held each year to recognize deserving companies for their outstanding workmanship in the printing industry. Entries in The Gallery of Superb Printing are judged based upon the quality of the piece, including registration, ink coverage, color intensity, dot structure, binding quality and finishing, overall appearance and difficulty. To receive an award, each printed piece must display an exemplary level of craftsmanship.
Bill Tignanelli, Admore’s general manager, says, “We appreciate the recognition for our printing capabilities. The awards solidify Admore as an industry leader and show that our team is committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers.”
In addition to the awards for the printed pieces, Paul Brancaleone, a 33-year employee and production manager at Admore, was named the Technical Craftsman of the Year.
