Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Commissioner Robert Adler will be joining the 2016 PPAI Product Responsibility Summit, September 18-20, in National Harbor, Maryland. He will be the luncheon speaker on September 19 and will speak on CPSC priorities and their impact on the promotional products industry.
Adler began serving as a commissioner in 2009. He was renominated by President Obama in May 2014 and confirmed by the Senate in December 2014. His term runs through October 2021. Prior to joining the CPSC, Adler served as a professor of legal studies at the University of North Carolina as the Luther Hodges Jr., Scholar in Ethics and Law at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Before joining UNC, he spent nine years as an attorney-advisor to two commissioners at the CPSC and as counsel to the Subcommittee on Health and the Environment of the Committee on Energy and Commerce in the U.S. House of Representatives.
The conference will also welcome CPSC Commissioner Joseph P. Mohorovic as the luncheon speaker on September 20, as previously reported.
