HALO’s National Sales Meeting drew more than 250 top account executives and over 150 supplier personnel to San Diego, California’s Rancho Bernardo.

HALO Branded Solutions’ (UPIC: HBS) recent annual National Sales Meeting brought more than 250 of the distributor’s top account executives and over 150 supplier personnel from its Preferred Supplier Program to the Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego, California.

“The HALO account executives in attendance represented over $180 million in 2015 sales,” says Jim Stutz, HALO executive vice president. “The information and inspiration provided at this meeting by our suppliers and speakers energized our industry-leading sales team for the second half of what is on course to be another record-breaking year at HALO.”

The event’s schedule included a keynote presentation from Brian Smith, founder of Ugg Boots, who shared lessons in overcoming adversity and building a brand in a crowded marketplace. Key HALO apparel manufacturers sponsored a fashion show featuring the latest colors, trends and styles in apparel, and HALO provided a half-day series of education on marketing to Millennials, social media strategy, calendar sales, and the company’s marketing tools and new incentive platform.

Participant Brian Porter, vice president of supplier ProTowels/Kanata Blanket, says, “HALO meetings are always first class, from the resorts they pick to the educational format they provide. What is really noteworthy is the excitement of their account executives. They come looking for ideas and opportunities, providing a great audience for a top supplier like ProTowels.”

More than 140 top industry suppliers participated in education sessions over two days and a single-day trade show exclusively for the HALO team. Evening events included a wine-blending competition at the Bernardo Winery, outdoor dining with a large fireworks display, and a harbor tour and full-moon pirate party on the HMS Surprise, a tall ship made famous in the movie Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, to close out the week.
