During the course of the two-hour event, Carol Gauger, MAS, PPAI director of volunteer engagement and regional relations, invited a representative from each committee to the stage to share key accomplishments in 2016.

PPAI President and CEO Paul Bellantone, CAE, and PPAI Board Chair Tom Goos, MAS, also thanked all the volunteers and specifically recognized the PPAI Fellows, a new program recognizing influential individuals who have actively supported the industry through their personal involvement.

A traditional part of the volunteer luncheon, PPAI Board Chair Tom Goos, MAS, presented incoming Chair Mary Jo Tomasini, MAS, with her gavel.

Marking the conclusion of Goos’s term as PPAI chair, he passed the gavel to incoming PPAI Board Chair Mary Jo Tomasini, MAS, who gave a brief presentation on the outlook for 2017.

To prepare volunteers for their committee and group meetings that would follow the luncheon, Bellantone led listeners through a presentation of PPAI’s new mission statement, strategic plan and its goals for the next three years.
