Keene, New Hampshire-based supplier Douglas Company, Inc. (PPAI 233600), in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has issued a voluntary recall for plush toys whose plastic eyes may detach and pose a choking hazard.

Three plush toy models, Oliver™ the Bear, Chewie™ the English Bulldog, and Charlotte™ the Fox, are involved in the recall. Douglas has received two reports of the eyes detaching or loosening, although no known injuries due to the issue have been reported.

None of the affected products were distributed Douglas’ promotional products channel. About 25,000 of the toys were sold at retail stores between July 2014 and April 2017, and given out by UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) to various individuals and organizations.

Douglas has established a page on its website with more details on the recall and steps for consumers to take to receive a replacement or refund.
