Pleasanton, California-based distributor MadeToOrder (PPAI 216503) has named Sandy Gonzalez as CEO and John Zientek as COO and CFO of the firm, effective immediately. Gonzalez, who was most recently vice president and CIO of the company, has been with MadeToOrder since its inception in 1989. Zientek, who was previously vice president of finance, joined the firm five years ago.
Along with the transition, longtime Vice President of Sales Rex Shoemake will also expand his duties to engage more deeply with the sales partners and grow his vendor relations role with the company.
The distributor’s founders, Barbara Brown and Rod Brown, CEO and CFO, respectively, will remain with the company over the coming year to assist with the transition. Rod plans to remain in the industry as a consultant.
In a news release issued today, it was noted that the company’s newly expanded board of directors has voiced excitement about the new roles for Gonzalez and Zientek, who have demonstrated tremendous leadership and support for their customers, vendors and employees.
The company has also created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which enables all employees to share in the ownership of the firm and further benefit from the company’s success. The ESOP strengthens the distributor’s status as a certified Woman Owned Business Enterprise.
MadeToOrder is a $25 million global, partner-owned distributor with four offices in the U.S. and two international partner locations.
