The Specialty Advertising Association of California (SAAC) has postponed SAAC EXPO, scheduled on August 6-7 in Anaheim, California. The SAAC EXPO, the West Coast’s largest regional trade show, is now tentatively rescheduled for August 5-6, 2021.

After weeks of monitoring the situation and careful consideration, the SAAC Board of Directors made the difficult decision to postpone the event. The move allows the association to keep the event in Anaheim before taking the show back to San Diego in 2022.

“We are all eager to get back to business, but the health and safety of our members is paramount,” says SAAC Board President Tara Villanueva. “Ultimately, the board had to determine if we could safely deliver a superb show experience for our members. California Governor Newsom’s reopening plan brought to light the impossibility of that for 2020.”

The association reports that postponing the EXPO to 2021 will preserve the experience synonymous with the event and provide it an opportunity to explore coordinating online or small venue experiences to serve the membership.

“For many, the SAAC EXPO is a vital part of business,” says SAAC Executive Director Jennifer Bingham. “Our members count on this event to help bolster business and SAAC is committed to finding innovative ways to serve members in their businesses until we can all come back together.”

Account managers will be reaching out directly to exhibitors with detailed information about this change in the coming days. Visit www.SAAC.net for more information and event updates.
