SnugZ USA is participating in The Women’s Leadership Institute’s ElevateHER Corporate Challenge. Companies taking part in the challenge pledge to elevate the stature of women’s leadership by looking at their own culture, structure and policies, and creating innovative ways to promote women’s leadership within the organization.
West Jordan, Utah-based SnugZ selected goals to increase the retention rate of women at all levels of the company and monitor pay by gender while closing the identified gaps. The supplier has a long history of women defining its culture and success, and currently, 65 percent of its staff and 60 percent of its leadership are women, including the C-level team, which is at 60 percent. Goals were then set where the most improvements could be made throughout the rest of the company.
Policies implemented or enhanced as a result of taking this challenge include paid maternity/paternity policy leave, pay by gender study and closing identified gaps, work from home and hybrid flexibility, increased starting wage and mental health education and support, which not only affects women, but poor mental health is a leading cause of low retention rates.
SnugZ encourages others in the promotional products industry to take the challenge and reflect on their own businesses. More information can be found here and here.
