PromoCares’ Sleep In 4 Good event, planned for November 8, the day after Daylight Savings Time (DST) ends, seeks to raise awareness around the stigma of mental health and its connection to sleep deprivation. PromoCares is a volunteer-driven group of industry members dedicated to corporate social and environmental responsibility.
The Sleep In 4 Good event has already exceeded its original goal of raising $10,000 for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), as more than $12,000 in donations have come in. The event is encouraging contributions by enlisting individuals and companies to donate to NAMI in exchange for getting and giving approved time off to sleep in, rest, relax and recharge. NAMI is the initiative’s charitable partner as it is on the frontlines of providing advocacy, education, support and public awareness so that anyone affected by mental illness can build a better life.
Commitment levels and time off are associated with donations directly to NAMI and branded sleep masks will be provided. Get involved here. Follow the campaign online through the hashtag #sleepin4good.
