Crystal D (PPAI 112326, S8) is investing in its future growth plans with the purchase of a new building in St. Paul, Minnesota. The facility will initially serve as additional warehouse space for the supplier.
“We are excited for the additional space. It’s allowing us to increase our inventory and double our production capacity,” says Kari Hurtis, vice president of operations.
Crystal D’s growth has increased over the past several years, and the expansion comes at a time when inventory is important to the level of service that is provided to its customers. The 40,000 square-foot building allows the company to house all inventory in one location and expand the production and shipping areas to accommodate more orders. It is in the process of moving that inventory to the new building from their current location and two additional off-site warehouses, doubling their inventory space.
“This expansion is just one of many planned steps towards our five-year growth initiatives. It will allow us to remain nimble during times of transition as we continue to grow and prepare for future acquisitions,” says Chuck Dahlgren, president. “Most importantly, it allows our Memory Makers to continue to keep our high standards of service and deliver on the promise of fast production.”
