Industry leader Hit Promotional Products (PPAI 113910, Platinum) is gearing up for further growth with focuses on sustainability and data privacy. The company achieved certification with the Forest Stewardship Council, awarded to firms that meet the highest environmental and social standards. Hit also appointed a director of sustainability and a sustainability coordinator, who work on environmentally friendly initiatives full time.
Also key among its 2023 initiatives: extensive work on encryption and privacy. Hit received S0C2/SOC3 compliance, ensuring customer data security. Additionally, all of the company’s applications that collect data now encrypt the information and can delete it on demand.
Earlier in 2024, following the departure of longtime contributor Eric Shonebarger, promo veteran Jon Norris was named Hit’s new chief strategy officer.
