SanMar has released its new Fall lineup, marking its largest product launch. The Issaquah, Washington-based supplier has announced 127 new styles (including 27 limited edition styles) across 17 different brands.

Included in the lineup are outerwear styles from well-known retail brands such as:

  • Nike
  • Carhartt
  • Eddie Bauer
  • The North Face

Below are three trends to be found within SanMar’s 2024 Fall lineup.

Sustainability Is A Priority

Perhaps the first thing that stands out about the product release is SanMar’s focus on using the Fall lineup to showcase its sustainable products. The supplier has taken the opportunity to debut the Port & Company Core Blend Recycled Tee.

  • This product is intentionally made to fit into a circular economy, meaning that it consists of materials that come from other products.
  • Half of the tee is made from ring-spun cotton scrap and cuttings from Port & Company cotton shirts and the other 50% comes from recycled polyester from reclaimed polyethylene terephthalate (PET), a material often used to create single-use plastic bottles.

“The PC01 will be our most value-oriented sustainable t-shirt,” says Patrick Noonan, chief product officer at SanMar. “We make the PC01 by using our own factories’ scraps, breaking them down into fibers, spinning them back into yarn and then making a new shirt with that recycled yarn.”

The Fall lineup also contributes to growing SanMar’s C-Free collection, which currently features over 70 carbon-neutral styles.

  • Two of the company’s limited edition product rollouts partners with Outdoor Research, which focuses on responsible sourcing and a low carbon footprint, and tentree, which plants 10 trees for every unit sold.
  • SanMar recently received a High Mark in Responsibility from PPAI 100.

“At a time when social and environmental issues are top of mind for many consumers, it’s exciting to see SanMar meet the moment with new styles and brands to help round out our assortment,” says Emily Gigot, senior manager of sustainability at SanMar.

Active Wear Is In Active Demand

In its Spring lineup, SanMar saw stock uniforms drive demand with noticeable popularity. The supplier builds on the momentum by expanding its Sport-Tek collection.

  • The collection includes 17 different styles.
  • Included in the lineup are reversible tank tops.

SanMar anticipates enough demand from youth and adult athletic programs in the Fall to prominently feature stock uniforms in its product release.

“We’re making significant investments in expanding our sport styles and on-field uniforms, and we have a trendsetting duo in our Sport-Tek PosiCharge Competitor and Price Point Mesh uniforms,” says Shel Renning, vice president of merchandising at SanMar. “We enhanced our existing program with improvements in fit, fabrication and functionality, resulting in a more versatile product that helps teams stay active.”

A Giveback Program Within A Product

For the first time, SanMar has launched a product with a direct charitable giving impact with its Charity Tech Packs.

  • This program includes a backpack made of recycled materials.
  • A $5 donation is made to the American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross with every bag sold.
  • The backpack also includes a QR code encouraging end-users to make additional donations of their own.
