Hit Promotional Products (PPAI 113910, Platinum), PPAI 100’s No. 4 supplier, has announced plans to build a new facility in Fairfield, Ohio. Work on the 800,000-square-foot building is expected to begin by the end of the year, the Cincinnati Business Courier reported.
The company received approval from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority on October 28 for a seven-year, 1.266% job creation tax credit to make 100 new jobs, totaling $4.8 million in new annual payroll. The new jobs created will double the number of employees Hit Promotional Products has in the state.
- Its Fairfield-based headquarters employees a total of 237 workers.
Nonprofit economic development agency JobsOhio and its local partner REDI Cincinnati will provide assistance to the project. More details about this partnership will be made public after a final agreement is reached.

A Year Of Changes
This news of a new facility comes months after the top supplier announced changes to three leadership positions.
After serving two years as Hit Promotional Products’ president and working with the company in other roles for about 20 years, Eric Shonebarger announced in February he was stepping down and transitioning to a board role effective immediately. The company’s CEO CJ Schmidt added on the title of president in Shonebarger’s absence.
After working with the firm for just six months as vice president of business process management, John Norris was named chief strategy officer in April. A month later, Hit Promotional Products announced that Amy Rabideau, MAS would be joining as vice president of product.
