Fully remote distributor Whitestone (PPAI 666851, Silver) has announced the hiring of Karie Cowden, MAS, as director of enterprise sales.
- Cowden, who just wrapped up her second term on the PPAI Board of Directors, has owned and operated Phoenix-based distributor Connect the Dots Promotions for 17 years.
- In February 2024, she joined New York-based distributor Campus Stop’s executive team as vice president of sales.

Whitestone’s Growth
In her new role, Cowden will lead and expand Whitestone’s rapidly growing enterprise sales division, which will include the addition of a new vice president of operations and the creation of a strategic operations department.
Dominique Volker, vice president of sales at Whitestone and a 2024 PPAI Rising Star, says that recent acquisitions have also introduced a dozen new enterprise programs for the division.
“Karie’s leadership will be instrumental in navigating this growth, ensuring operational excellence, program scalability and enhanced client partnerships,” Volker says. “Most importantly, she will support our most valuable asset, our people, as we continue to expand and elevate our enterprise offerings.”

Cowden’s Background
A nearly 30-year veteran of the promotional products industry, Cowden previously worked for Vantage Apparel – the No. 12 supplier in the PPAI 100 – among other firms.
She is also an active volunteer, having previously served as president of the Regional Association Council and is a two-time PPAI Board member.
- Cowden is also a director of PromoCares, a volunteer-driven group of industry members dedicated to corporate social and environmental responsibility.
