What do you love about the promotional products industry?

I enjoy that I get to work with my family every single day, specifically, my father, two brothers and three cousins. I also get to work with many franchisees in the field who I get to support on a daily basis. I tell them they’re getting into a really fun, exciting and creative industry where they can control their destiny, but that no day is the same.

Why do you think you were nominated for the PPAI Rising Stars?

I’m very competitive and strive to be the best in whatever I do, whether it’s through basketball with my brothers growing up, academics or in business. I also want to honor my family and the legacy that’s been built while taking the baton to help grow the company even further.

What is the biggest challenge for you in your career?

Age. At the same time, it’s easily overcome by hard work, determination and experience. I may be young, but I’ve worked for the family business for 10 years. My first job here was cleaning the building, and I’ve done a lot of different roles since.

What has been your proudest moment in your work?

Winning the MVP Award for the United Franchise Group, our parent organization, two times. Three years ago, I was the youngest to win the award in the 38-year history of the company three and I was fortunate to win again last year.

What does the industry need to do to attract and retain more young leaders?

One of the biggest things to attract more young people to the industry is spotlighting the young people currently in it. When young people see their peers being spotlighted or elevated in their role, it inspires them to explore the industry even further.
