Geiger (PPAI 105182, Platinum) – the No. 5 distributor in the PPAI 100 – has announced it has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for 2024.
This distinction places the Lewiston, Maine-based firm, which earned 2024 PPAI 100 High Marks in Responsibility, among the top 1% of companies assessed worldwide for sustainability practices.
- EcoVadis, the world’s leading provider of business sustainability ratings, evaluates companies across four key pillars: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
- To achieve Platinum, companies must score above 80% overall, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainable practices.
Achieving a 99th percentile ranking, Geiger – the largest distributor to achieve Platinum from EcoVadis – earned an exceptionally high score in the environmental category, reflecting its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, optimizing energy consumption and minimizing waste.
