Gemline (PPAI 113948, Platinum) – the No. 11 supplier in the PPAI 100 – has announced the expansion and optimization of its warehousing operations.

The company has moved its off-site warehousing from two separate buildings to a single facility in Lawrence, Massachusetts, less than a mile from its primary facility.

  • As a result, Gemline says it has expanded its total capacity by greater than 20%.

“This strategic move not only increases our storage capacity, but significantly improves our operational efficiency,” says Mike Braley, vice president of operations at Gemline. “By consolidating our warehousing into one nearby location, we’ve enhanced our ability to manage inventory and supply chain logistics, which will better serve our customers and support our continued growth.”

Committed To CSR

Gemline says the new setup will also reduce receiving and transit times, ensuring quicker turnaround times for customer orders.

By eliminating the need for multiple off-site transfers, Gemline says it has significantly cut down on transportation emissions, a move that aligns with its “betterway” commitment to corporate social responsibility.

In March, Gemline unveiled a new purpose statement: “We Promote Community.” Under that umbrella, the firm plans to continue its charitable donations and sustainability efforts, including offsetting its carbon footprint, removing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) from its products and using more recycled materials.
