Houston-based HIRSCH (PPAI 221823, Gold) – the No. 20 supplier in the 2024 PPAI 100 – has announced that it will be closed on Monday, July 8, due to Hurricane Beryl.

Most people are currently without power, but all employees are safe and accounted for, according to George Morgan, director of marketing at HIRSCH. The only concern right now is the hurricane lingering and causing massive flooding, Morgan says.

With that in mind, the company won’t be operational again until Tuesday, July 9.

Beryl’s Impact

More than two million customers are without power across Texas as Hurricane Beryl makes its way toward Houston, according to poweroutages.us.

Services have stopped in Houston, with public transport suspended until further notice and many hospitals canceling elective surgeries, CNN reported.

Torrential rainfall and dangerous flash flooding are expected to continue to accompany Beryl’s damaging winds throughout Monday.
