Industry veteran Michael Snyder has launched Canvas Custom Apparel Group, a new U.S.-based apparel firm.
Canvas plans to offer both quick-turn templated custom apparel options with minimum quantities as low as 144 units, and 100% custom design with minimums in the 800-to-1,000-unit range.
- Snyder says the company boasts a team of highly skilled apparel designers and engineers, responsible for creating designs for some of the largest brands in the world.

Snyder’s Background
Snyder has over 40 years of experience in the apparel space, as well as over two decades in the promotional products industry.
He most recently served as the CEO of RiserUnited, an emerging retail apparel brand, and will now work with the firm in a design, sourcing and consulting capacity through Canvas Custom Apparel Group.
- Previously, he was the vice president of sales for EdwardsX, the custom apparel division of Edwards Garment, which is PPAI 100’s No. 19 supplier.
- Snyder also served as vice president of Trimark/PCNA apparel for Polyconcept North America, PPAI 100’s No. 4 supplier.
