PPAI is bringing promo’s message to Washington, D.C. this week! On May 13-14, the Association joined industry leaders on Capitol Hill as part of its Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.) to inform legislators and their staffs about the size and importance of the industry.
L.E.A.D’s first objective, as always, is to inform senators and representatives about the size and importance of the promo industry, which represents a $26 billion sales market in the United States and employs roughly half a million Americans. Of the industry’s 38,000 companies in the U.S., some 98% are considered small businesses.
This year, a mix of veteran attendees and first-timers are in Washington and their discussions will focus on the entrepreneurial spirit within our industry, the complexities of global supply chains, and the undeniable effectiveness of promotional products.
To drive home the scope and breadth of the promotional merchandise market, they need the support of everyone in the industry. Promo professionals can lend their voice from wherever they are by emailing their members of Congress and expressing support for the same issues addressed during the in-person meetings.
Together, let’s make sure our voices are heard loud and clear!
