Lisa Parker, MAS, Southeast sales manager at American Ad Bag (PPAI 111067, Gold) – the No. 52 supplier in the PPAI 100 – has been named the recipient of the 2024 PPAI Regional Volunteer Award.

Given out annually to regional association members who demonstrate an outstanding level of volunteerism, leadership or have made other significant and measurable contributions to one or more regional associations, the award has been given to past recipients who have helped associations thrive through hours of dedication and hard work as volunteers.

Recognition for the 2024 PPAI Regional Volunteer Award winner will be held on September 30 during the PPAI Leadership Development Conference at the Westin Dallas Southlake in Southlake, Texas.

Last year, PPAI invited regional associations to officially join PPAI as business service members. Since then, nearly every regional association has come on board and become members of The Association.

Regional Association History

Outside of her role at American Ad Bag, Parker has been heavily involved in various regional associations over the past two decades, including serving as president of the Carolinas Association of Advertising and Marketing Professionals (CAAMP) from 2021-2022.

  • Parker has also served as a board director of the Sunbelt Promotional Products Association (SPPA) and a two-time president of the Promotional Products Association of the Mid-South (PPAMS).

“Not only has Lisa been a long-time active member of CAAMP, who has served on the board of directors, but she also continuously plays an active role in the community by volunteering her time without hesitation,” says Laura Shifflett, East Coast regional sales manager at Sock101 – the No. 90 supplier in the PPAI 100 – and who nominated Parker for the award.

“To know Lisa Parker is to love her. Her outgoing nature, enthusiasm and willingness to help is not only encouraging, but refreshing to see. Her passion and dedication to our industry is truly inspiring.”

Giving Back

Additionally, the 25-year veteran of the promotional products industry has volunteered with numerous PPAI committees, taken part in PPAI’s annual Legislative Education and Action Day (L.E.A.D.) and participated in Habitat for Humanity.

  • In 2016, Parker was named a PPAI Fellow.

“If we could clone Lisa Parker, we should,” says Mark Thieleke, territory sales manager at Showdown Displays – the No. 8 supplier in the PPAI 100 – and who also nominated Parker for the award.

“She has an energetic spirit and drive and has also been a mentor to many people in the promotional products world. She’s a true believer in our industry.”
