The combined company will reportedly operate as one of the largest woman-owned and employee-owned distributors in the promotional products market.
- In 2019, MadeToOrder created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which enables all employees to share in the ownership of the firm and further benefit from the company’s success.
Joining Forces
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with RED Promotions,” says Sandy Gonzalez, CEO of MadeToOrder. “Our combined expertise and resources will enable us to deliver more innovative, high-quality products and services for our clients, while also creating new opportunities for our employee owners.”
Based in Oakland, MadeToOrder was founded in 1989 by a group of partners with over 100 years of combined industry experience. The company has been a certified women-owned business since 2006 and employee-owned since 2018. RED Promotions has been offering promo services as a women-owned business since 2008.
“We are thrilled to join forces with MadeToOrder,” says Shelley Stewart, CEO of RED Promotions. “Our combined strength will enable us to deliver even greater value to our clients. Both companies share a dedication to excellence, innovation and customer satisfaction, and together, we can achieve even greater success.”
From The Customer’s POV
For customers and partners of both companies, there will be no immediate changes to business operations.
- Gonzalez and Shelley will maintain leadership positions as the two entities look to draw on each other’s resources and customer bases.
- Gonzalez was named CEO of MadeToOrder in 2019 when founders Barbara and Rod Brown stepped down.
