How did your company get its start?
In 2007, I founded Flowz Staffing, marking the start of my transition from broadcast journalism to entrepreneurship. The idea for Flowz stemmed from my own frustrations while using freelance and staffing platforms as I set up my business. Those platforms fell short of my needs – they made it impossible to maintain consistent communication with the talent, which was incredibly frustrating. On top of that, the talent often lacked the expertise required for the specialized roles I hired them for, and their delivery was either inconsistent or nonexistent.
That’s when I realized there was a significant need for managed, full-time staffing that combines low overhead with exceptional service. I initially focused on providing businesses with talent in the creative and IT sectors and soon expanded into administrative staffing, driven by a desire to offer a more reliable, customer-focused solution. Fast forward to 2024, Flowz Staffing now offers administrative, creative, IT and industry-specific staffing solutions, delivering concierge-level service with minimal overhead.
What led your company to enter the promotional products market?
I chose to enter the promotional industry because my extensive staffing experience in the retail sector made it a natural fit. The promotional industry is captivating, as it allows brands to live forever in the minds of consumers. Every product, from a branded pen to a custom T-shirt, transforms people into walking billboards, amplifying a brand’s presence in everyday life. This industry merges creativity with strategy, making it a fascinating space to be a part of. Another reason I entered the promotional industry is because the Flowz Staffing philosophy aligns perfectly with the needs of the promotional industry.
What’s your favorite thing about being in the promotional products industry?
My favorite thing about the promotional product industry is the people. They are truly fascinating, and their relentless drive for success is both inspiring and unifying. The entrepreneurs who lead this industry embody resilience, creating a strong sense of community. There is a palpable energy within the industry that is not only intriguing, but also motivates me to be part of something truly special.

I joined PPAI because it offers an incredible platform for networking and building meaningful, long-term relationships.
