How did your company get its start?
I’ve always had the entrepreneurial itch. Back in grade school, I was hand-pressing custom-printed buttons and selling them to classmates. Years later, my wife and I ran a boutique creative agency where we focused on graphic design and web development. Technology has always been a constant thread, ever since I first tinkered with our family computer.
After more than a decade on the distributor side of our industry, working primarily in tech and e-commerce, I knew it was time to build something that combined my passion for technology with my love for solving problems. That’s how PromoPilot was born.
A contributor to my success in previous roles was using no-code automation tools to streamline processes and get more out of our tech stack. I realized these tools could help many more in the industry too. PromoPilot is my way of saying, “You don’t need to sling code to transform your business – You can do it! We’re here to help.”
What led your company to enter the promotional products market?
Having spent so much time on the distributor side, staying in the promotional products space felt natural. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges professionals face with technology and processes, and I know where automation can make an impact. That experience uniquely positions PromoPilot to help industry pros do more with the software they already have.
What’s your favorite thing about being in the promotional products industry?
Anyone with some grit and hustle can be successful in this industry. Whether you’re a salesperson, designer, tech enthusiast or logistics expert, there’s a place for you here. I enjoy how diverse it is – every day feels like an opportunity to flex a different muscle and contribute in meaningful ways.
