The Promotional Products Professionals of Canada’s (PPPC) most anticipated summer events are coming back: the annual golf tournaments taking place across the four cities in June this year.
These tournaments are a great way to network with other local PPPC members while engaging in friendly competition. The previous chapter tournaments drew hundreds of players and dozens of sponsors. This year, with restrictions being lifted and everyone coming back to in-person events, we look forward to a successful golf tournament season.
“We are very excited to be able to bring back in-person events this year after the long few years of COVID,” says Sandra Harssar, MAS, President of the Board, PPPC. “Nothing replaces the wonderful feeling of seeing people face-to-face. The Association has created a feeling of ‘family’ among its members, so being together again will be a ‘reunion.’”
This will start with our annual golf tournaments in June–four tournaments in four cities. Kickstarting the tournaments will be the Manitoba Chapter on June 9, followed by Quebec on June 15, British Columbia on June 16, and Ontario on June 23. These have always been among PPPC’s most highly anticipated events. Golfers enjoy a day of interaction with members on the course and then a social event afterwards with gifts and prizes. It is a day that everyone looks forward to.
“Chapter Events have always been an important component of the Association as it allows for members to be together more often in a less structured environment,” Harssar sayss. “There is a great camaraderie amongst many of the members, and local events allow them to see each other.”
While we talk about events, we cannot ignore and fail to recognize the hard work behind these events by our excellent PPPC volunteer chapter leaders. PPPC staff offers administrative support to the events, but it is genuinely the sheer dedication and passion of our volunteers who run them.
PPPC hopes to engage other provinces in local events, even if the province does not have an active chapter.
