The British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) has announced that CEO Carey Trevill will be departing the organization in March.
At the BPMA Awards Dinner on Wednesday as part of Merchandise World – the largest promotional products trade show in the United Kingdom – BPMA Chair Haydn Willetts and BPMA Vice Chair Clive Allcott confirmed that the board is currently searching for candidates.
- The UK promotional products industry generates more than $1 billion a year, according to Merchandise World.
Trevill’s Impact
Trevill joined BPMA in early 2020, taking over from previous incumbent Jon Birrell.
She turned a six-month interim role into a permanent position, manning the helm of the organization during the COVID-19 pandemic and a period of intense global economic disruption, providing members with guidance on furloughs, business grants, Brexit and more pressing issues.
- Among Trevill’s achievements during her tenure is the StepForward sustainability initiative, which she worked closely with board director Melissa Chevin to launch in 2023.
Trevill is expected to conclude her time with the BPMA at the end of March, with the International Women’s Day event in Birmingham on March 8 to be her last public-facing event.
