Goldstar (PPAI 114031) has initiated globalization efforts to unite its teams in North America and Europe to better offer promotional products, decoration capabilities and business solutions to its base of distributor customers. Howard Cubberly, previously general manager of the San Diego, California-based supplier’s North American division, has been promoted to lead Goldstar Global.
Cubberly brings more than 25 years of industry experience to his new role and will be managing the business out of its San Diego headquarters. During Cubberly’s five-year leadership of Goldstar North America, the team consistently grew its business by double digits year over year.
The North American and European teams are now focusing on the launch of a Goldstar Global brand to create a cohesive look and common customer experience across all markets.
“I’m excited at the opportunity to bring the Goldstar brand together globally and to leverage our Simplicity business model,” says Cubberly. “We’ve experienced great success in the U.S. with the Simplicity value proposition—the ease of doing business—and we look forward to bringing it to our international distributor customers.”
Colin Loughran of Goldstar Europe headquarters in Dundalk, Ireland, will continue as general manager of the Europe site and will be a key player in global product design and merchandizing strategy. RJ Hagel, who was previously marketing manager of Goldstar North America, will now manage marketing teams for both sites as global marketing manager.
